Mostly one-offs

We are not a production shop and we do not want to be. Almost everything that leaves here is one of one, made to a drawing or a measure taken on site.

If you have a sketch on the back of an envelope, that is a perfectly good place to start. We will turn it into a shop drawing and send it back to you before anything gets cut.

How a job runs

Measure, draw, cut, fit

We measure on site ourselves. Buildings are never quite what the drawings say, and a stair that is half an inch out comes back to the shop.

You get a shop drawing to approve before we cut. Changes after cutting cost money, so we would rather spend the extra day at the drawing stage.

We fit it too. One crew from measure to install, so if something is wrong it is on us.

Finishes we send out in

Hot-dip galvanised

For anything outside. Adds about a week, and thirty years.

Powder coat

Any RAL color. Bring us a paint chip and we will match it.

Blackened and waxed

Interior only. The look most architects are actually asking for.

Raw and sealed

Mill scale left on and lacquered. It darkens with age, and people choose it for that.

Or the photo, or the sketch on the envelope. We quote from whatever you have, most within three working days. If steel is the wrong material for it, we will say so.
